Founding Director of TTAdventures
Tim founded TTAdventures in 2015 with a clear mission to help individuals and professionals unlock personal growth and team development through immersive, outdoor-based experiences. With over 20 years of experience in the education sector, Tim has dedicated his career to using adventure as a transformative tool for learning, leadership and connection.
Tim’s journey began in education, where he quickly recognised the unique power of outdoor learning in developing resilience, communication and teamwork. Since then, he has worked extensively across the corporate, education and public sectors, delivering training and consultancy services to diverse clients around the world.
Tim is a highly qualified outdoor professional as a Mountain Leader, Cave Leader and instructor in climbing, canoeing and kayaking. These qualifications have supported his work in leading challenging expeditions, managing team safety in remote environments and designing tailored experiences.
In 2016, Tim appeared on CITV’s Bear Grylls: Survival School, where he played a key role both on screen and behind the scenes. He was worked launching the show and the development of the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, helping guide young participants through demanding survival scenarios. His work on the show earned wide recognition, contributing to a BAFTA win. Tim’s has also worked on other productions including First Man Out with Ed Stafford and Britain’s Biggest Adventures with Bear Grylls, where he worked as a presenter and outdoor safety consultant for ITV, Discovery, CITV, and Channel 4.
Tim holds a Master's degree in Physical Activity and Health and is also a trained teacher. He strongly believes that reading, research and reflection are vital to personal development and sees education as a lifelong journey that enhances both individual and collective performance.
Outside of his professional life, Tim is a dedicated ultra runner and endurance athlete. He has taken on numerous extreme challenges, including completing six marathons in five days across Chile’s Atacama Desert. These feats are not just personal accomplishments but opportunities to raise funds for causes close to his heart, including Macmillan Cancer Support and Help for Heroes.
Through TTAdventures, Tim continues to lead from the front, whether guiding a group through the mountains, supporting a team in a boardroom, or running across desert landscapes. His work is driven by a passion for helping others grow stronger, work better together and realise what they’re truly capable of when they step outside their comfort zones.
Ella Treloar
Head of Marketing and Communication
Ella has been a supporter of TTAdventures since the beginning, offering behind the scene support for over 15 years. Ella helps bring TTAdventures mission to life and connects with a growing community of individuals and organisations seeking high performance through outdoor experiences.
With a successful career in the retail sector, Ella has held various leadership roles, most recently focusing as a people professional. Ella’s work has often involved partnering with senior leaders and facilitating large scale events. As a experienced facilitator and development partner, Ella brings a deep understanding of what drives performance, collaboration and growth.
Beyond the workplace, Ella is a keen runner, outdoor enthusiast and passionate advocate for the power of nature. She has completed numerous events to raise funds for charities close to her heart and her own time in nature continues to fuel both her personal wellbeing and professional insight.
Ella firmly believes that one of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing businesses today is how we reconnect people in a world shaped by remote working, digital overload and economic pressure. Ella’s experience focuses on people being at the heart of every organisation and investing in them is essential. Ella will ensure that the outdoor-based development we offer is a critical enabler of high performance, resilience and delivers authentic connection in today’s world of work.
Dave Pearce
Associate
Dave Pearce spent 24 years as a British Commando, seeing operations across the globe and serving in many elite arms of the sercies, becoming adept in survival within all environments as well as an expert in mountain, arctic, jungle and desert warfare. Towards the end of his military careers, Dave Pearce was a Sergeant Major, to a squadron of Commandos, in Afghanistan, for 8 months in 2001/2 and he left in 2005 as a Warrant Officer. Dave Pearce received a military commendation.
Leadership, high performance in individuals and teams is key top achieving robust success and stratch targets. Something Dave Pearce is spirited about facilitating for others.
Dave embraces challenges and in 2003, he reached the summit of Mounth Everest via the challenging and difficult North Face, along with the expeditions audacious rescue high on the mountain. Dave was awarded BBC’s Outstanding Overseas Achievement Award. He returned to Eeverest again in 2006 and because a member of the first successfgul British ascent of Kangchenjunga without oxygen, the worlds third highest mountain. He has ;ed and participated in many other extreme expeditions.
In 2005, Dave started working with Bear Grylls supporting him on all programming and wider challenges also leading production teams into dymanic and hostile environments, delivery safety, consultation and stunt coordination as well as being a member of the creative production team. Dave was instrumental in setting up the Bear Grylls Survival Academy and has worked alongside many high profile figures including President Obama.
Dave continues to mountaineer, sea paddle, ski and challenges himself in all mannor of activities. He is a published author, a mentor for young recruits undergoing training in the Marines and a volunteer for 65 Degrees North.
